Yercaud Travel

Situated about 1500 mts high in the Shevaroy (Servaroyan) Hills, Yercaud is a peaceful hill station, sans the trappings of most commercialized hill destinations. Yercaud owes its name to 2 words of Tamil origin - Yeri - lake and Kaadu - forest. Rich with coffee plantations and pepper cultivations, Yercaud offers a serene weekend getaway from Madras. An hour uphill from Salem and you will find yourself amidst thickly forested slopes.
